Tipsy Tuesday – Super Citrus Martini

I am not really stuck on martinis, it just happens that they have been the first two drinks I have done. The first  one was thanks to Mr Bobby Flay and this one came from my desire to change up your typical screwdriver. Kevin and I were laughing about trying to figure out how to make a “healthy” cocktail. I said, “Well we could make one packed with vitamin C, that would make it seem healthier. BINGO I started looking through my refrigerator and grabbed a few things I thought would go well together. Out came the shaker, in went the ice and juice and WALA a Super Citrus Martini was born!

Super Citrus Martini

1/2 cup ruby red grapefruit juice
1/2 orange juice
1 lemon, juiced
2 limes, juiced
1 1/2 cup vodka
granulated sugar
mint for garnish
Wet a folded paper towel and lay on a small plate. Invert martini glasses and press the rim of the glass into the wet paper towel. On another small plate place some granulated sugar. Dip the wet rimmed glasses into the sugar to coat. Set aside
In a cocktail shaker, combine ice, orange juice, grapefruit juice, the juice of the lemon, the juice of the limes and the vodka. Shake to mix well, at least 30 seconds. Pour into sugar rimmed glasses. Garnish with mint leaves if wanted.
